The community of Laax is located in Kanton Graubünden, Switzerland. It lies on a sunny plateau at an altitude of 1,020 m, above the Rhine gorge. Due to diverse snowboarding events, fun parks and a large amount of free-ride areas, Laax has become a Mecca for snowboarders. There is also an attractive après ski programme. The resort is also well suited to families and children, owing to the many low-difficulty pistes. Away from the pistes the marked hiking trails and two toboggan runs also offer non-skiers something fun.
